BIO
Marietta Losada was born in Miami Beach and it was apparent that she had a talent in art since age 2. At the age of 9 she was placed in a special art class with 4 other students to further develop her talent. She continued her development in middle school were she attended a Magnet Arts Program for three years focusing on visual arts as well as photography.
In 1999 she was accepted to the nationally renown New World School of the Arts High School and studied visual arts, photography, graphics and video. At this school, Marietta would learn alongside other students with exceptional talents and taught by college professors. Marietta graduated in 2003 with strong grades and a portfolio to show for it.
Marietta wasn’t sure what she wanted to do after high school, so she followed in her parents footsteps and attended Florida International University. She completed her general studies as well as continuing her interest in photography and visual arts. Something was missing in Marietta’s life, so she decided to further her education on the west coast. She transferred to California State University, Los Angeles where she pursued her interest in film and graduated in 2008.
In addition, Marietta spent a semester at Art Center School of Design for film and obtained an invaluable experience.
Over the years Marietta has found her own unique style and is currently doing her own fashion line. Her fashion and art in general is largely inspired by her love for dogs and her four legged friends are often found in her pieces. Every now and then you can find Marietta in festivals or art-fairs where you can purchase her art. Marietta is also collaborating with stores across America where her art is sold. These can be found in boutiques such as Muse on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, CA, The Majestical Roof in Pasadena, CA, Agapi Girl in Hollywood, CA and 5 Paw located in Miami, FL. Marietta’s unique vision of combining her art with fashion along with her business talent will make sure she will succeed.
Marietta continued her interest for photography in Los Angeles, and offered photography sessions in her studio located in Pasadena. She shot all kinds of people, from actors to models and the word spread quickly about her talent for photography. She also has maintained herself constantly involved in the TV and film industry, using her diverse talents to her advantage, fitting in perfectly on any team.
Marietta’s art is easily recognizable and individuals such as Brandon Boyd and President & CEO of Air Royale Int'l, who she met at her daytime job at LA Dogworks, have their own piece of art from this multi talented artist.
After living in Norway for 2 years, Marietta is currently back in South Florida were she continues her education in film, photography and visual arts. Her plans for the future are to travel even more to get inspiration to further develop herself and to make more customers happy.
